Ryanair warns British citizens to adhere to the check-in rules to avoid overpaying at the airport
British travelers flying with Ryanair should remember to check in online. Otherwise, they will have to pay an additional fee, which can be twice the cost of the ticket.
Ryanair is a popular low-cost airline that offers tickets at very affordable prices. This attracts budget-conscious tourists who want to travel with minimal expenses. However, they should take into account the warnings from the low-cost airline, as reported by the Daily Star.
Ryanair has strict check-in rules. Passengers must check in online at least 24 hours before departure. If they fail to do so via the app or the website, they will incur a fee of £55 (or £30 if the flight is from Spain).
Ryanair's website clearly explains: "You can check in at the airport, but you will have to pay an airport check-in fee for each passenger."
Online check-in is free. Afterward, passengers receive a digital boarding pass, which must be used to go through security and board the flight.
Tourists are advised to print out their boarding pass and keep a digital copy. This can come in handy if your phone runs out of power or breaks.
Ryanair also charges a £20 fee for reissuing boarding passes.
As previously reported by TravelWise, Ryanair customers planning summer travel may face fare increases due to delays in the delivery of new aircraft.
