Palm Jumeirah Prepares for Change as Beachfront Hotel Switches Operators
Dukes The Palm, a beachfront hotel on Dubai’s Palm West Beach, will come under new management starting 1 August 2025. The property is set to join the Minor Hotels group, which already operates two other locations nearby on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah. This addition will bring the group’s total to over 1,500 rooms and apartments in the area, likely allowing for closer coordination and operational upgrades across the sites.
The hotel has 273 guest rooms and 287 serviced apartments across multiple floors. Work on updating the hotel is expected to start later this year, and once that’s done, it will get a new name under its new management. Guests may notice changes in room interiors, service standards, or booking systems as the transition unfolds. With three properties now under one group, more consistent experiences and streamlined services between them are expected.
Just a few minutes from the hotel, The View at The Palm gives visitors access to the top of The Palm Tower for panoramic island views. Close to the hotel, there’s a seaside walkway with relaxed places to eat, where you can sit outside and watch boats go by while having your meal. These places may benefit from improved links with hotel services as part of broader integration under a single brand.
A short walk away, Nakheel Mall combines shops, cafes, and a rooftop viewing area. The Palm Fountain at The Pointe, known for its light and music displays, remains another draw for guests exploring on foot. As the hotel upgrades begin, closer cooperation with surrounding attractions and amenities could make visits smoother and better connected.
With new management coming in, changes are on the way for how the hotel looks inside, how it runs day to day, and how things work for guests. All of this is part of a slow move toward running and taking care of the hotel in a new way. The hotel isn’t moving, but guests might start to see changes in how things are set up and how the staff runs everything.
