Las Vegas Welcomes Year-Round Horror Attraction for Travelers

A new permanent horror attraction has launched in Las Vegas within the AREA15 entertainment district, adding a different type of experience to the city’s cultural landscape. Universal Horror Unleashed, developed by Universal Destinations and Experiences, covers more than 110,000 square feet inside a converted warehouse. The site contains multiple immersive environments designed for long-term operation. In contrast to temporary haunted houses that open only around Halloween, this venue was created as a permanent, year-round attraction aimed at drawing both local audiences and tourists.
The attraction includes four haunted houses that feature a mix of established franchises and original concepts. Visitors can encounter classic characters in Universal Monsters, revisit possession themes in The Exorcist: Believer, face the brutality of Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, or enter the desolate farmland of Scarecrow: The Reaping. Each house has a distinct storyline supported by detailed sets, sound effects, and performers. The spaces are intended to provide a consistent level of immersion and atmosphere across all themes.
The opening of Universal Horror Unleashed was marked by a red-carpet event that drew a number of public figures from television, film, and entertainment. Bravo stars Shannon Beador, Jennifer Pedranti, Dorinda Medley, and Ashley Darby were in attendance, alongside producer Jason Blum and director James Wan, both well-known for their contributions to modern horror cinema. Actress Madeleine McGraw, special effects creator Greg Nicotero, and Bel-Air actors Jabari Banks and Jordan L. Jones also appeared, underscoring the attraction’s close ties to the broader creative industry.
This venue offers an exciting, fully immersive and captivating entertainment experience. It stands apart from the usual casinos and nightlife often linked with Las Vegas. Visitors can fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of haunted houses and themed areas while enjoying the restaurants and bars on site. Bars and restaurants, including Rough Cuts and Jack's Alley Bar, are integrated into the overall design, providing visitors with practical amenities without leaving the premises. By combining live performances, immersive settings, and interactive storytelling, the venue creates a visitor experience that is distinct from standard tourist attractions.

Situated near the Las Vegas Strip within the AREA15 district, the attraction is easy for guests staying at central hotels or visiting surrounding venues to reach. Tickets are offered in different tiers, from general admission to premium packages that provide additional access and services. Its year-round schedule allows travelers to plan visits without being limited to seasonal dates. In summary, Universal Horror Unleashed highlights Las Vegas’ continued push to diversify its entertainment offerings, giving visitors unique experiences that go beyond conventional casino gaming and live performance events.
