Frontier Airlines Announces New Nonstop Routes to the Caribbean and Miami
Frontier Airlines, a leading ultra-low fare carrier, is set to launch new nonstop routes from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Cibao International Airport in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, and Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados in mid-2024. This expansion is part of Frontier's strategy to increase its presence in the Caribbean and the southeastern United States.
The service to Santiago de los Caballeros will begin on June 14, 2024, with flights running three times per week, and flights to Barbados will start on July 3, 2024, with the same frequency. In addition, Frontier will launch nonstop service between Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Miami International Airport on July 5, 2024, also with a three-times-per-week schedule. To celebrate the new routes, Frontier is offering promotional fares as low as $29 from Charlotte to Miami and $59 from San Juan to Santiago and Barbados.
Josh Flyr, Frontier Airlines' vice president of network and operations design, expressed excitement about the upcoming summer travel season and the airline's expanded route map. He highlighted that this expansion will offer more affordable and convenient travel options for consumers across the U.S. and the Caribbean.
Frontier Airlines has recently introduced UpFront Plus, a new seating option offering extra leg and elbow room in the first two rows of the aircraft, guaranteeing an empty middle seat for added comfort. The airline's frequent flyer program, FRONTIER Miles, rewards customers for each dollar spent on Frontier products, with benefits such as priority boarding and free baggage for elite members.
These new nonstop routes not only provide additional travel options for passengers in Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Barbados but also reflect Frontier's commitment to offering low-cost fares while expanding its network. Travelers interested in these routes should act quickly to take advantage of the promotional fares, as they are available for a limited time.
