flydubai and TAROM Connect More European Destinations

flydubai has entered into a new interline agreement with TAROM, Romania’s national airline, extending travel opportunities for passengers moving between the Middle East and Europe. Through Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport, travelers flying with flydubai can reach 15 cities served by TAROM on its regional and international routes. These routes cover destinations such as Athens, Amsterdam, Brussels, Cluj-Napoca, Frankfurt, Madrid, and Paris, providing connections to both major European centers and regional locations.
The collaboration seeks to make journeys easier and more convenient for those flying between regions. Among the main advantages for passengers are:
- The ability to book combined itineraries under a single ticket,
- Direct baggage check-through to the final destination,
- Reduced need for additional transfers or separate bookings.
flydubai already operates two daily flights from Dubai to Bucharest and will add Iași as its second Romanian destination from 19 September 2025, further expanding its services in Romania.
“As Romania’s national carrier, TAROM is delighted to join hands with flydubai. It is a natural step in our strategy to facilitate connectivity between the cities we operate in and the most interesting travel destinations. Together we will offer passengers safe, reliable and convenient travel options, connecting our regions and supporting tourism and business."
For leisure travelers, this development opens the way to several prominent attractions. Passengers have the opportunity to explore Amsterdam’s canals, experience Cluj-Napoca’s medieval St. Michael’s Square, or observe the architectural highlights of Brussels’ Grand Place. The easier access to these well-known destinations via Bucharest emphasizes the advantages the agreement offers to passengers planning European travel.
The partnership also improves access to destinations valued for their culture and atmosphere. Travelers may explore Athens’ Parthenon, spend time in Madrid’s Plaza Mayor, or walk along Frankfurt’s River Main promenade. By linking long-haul and regional flights, the agreement reduces the complexity of arranging multi-stop journeys and provides greater flexibility for both business and leisure trips.

The new cooperation reflects the growing importance of partnerships in global aviation. For passengers, this provides more convenient options, smoother connections, and access to a wider range of destinations from Dubai. This partnership shows how aligning airline services can improve the flow of regional travel and create smoother journeys for passengers moving between destinations.
