Aer Lingus App Update Brings Real-Time Flight Alerts and Airport Navigation Tools
An updated version of the Aer Lingus mobile app has been launched, adding features intended to assist passengers throughout their journey. The update reflects input from more than 1,300 users and fits into the airline’s wider efforts to update its digital services. The update focuses on delivering timely and easy-to-understand information for travelers, especially when they depart.
Flight status information can be viewed on the lock screen without unlocking the phone. This change gives passengers the option to:
- Stay updated on any timing changes without needing to open the app,
- Respond more efficiently during important moments such as transit through the airport or boarding,
- Minimize stress and uncertainty while traveling.
The updated app also includes indoor navigation support for Dublin Airport and John F. Kennedy Airport in New York. Passengers in these terminals have access to information on locating gates, dining options, and other facilities. This helps travelers who aren’t familiar with large airports get around more easily and avoid stress or delays while they’re moving through.
A fresh home screen design provides easier and faster access to essential travel tools like boarding passes and bookings. A travel assistant has been added to "My Trips" to help users stay on top of their travel plans with real-time information. With this update, users can manage and monitor their complete journey more conveniently in one spot.
