SWISS has introduced a fresh service, enabling Business Class travelers on short-haul routes to select their meals prior to boarding. This feature, previously available only on long-distance flights, is now complementary and gives passengers the opportunity to pick either a warm or chilled dish, depending on their route. The available meals are updated quarterly to keep the options diverse, and this service can be enjoyed on flights departing after 10 am.

The new feature is designed to enhance the onboard dining experience by providing Business Class passengers with more flexibility and options. Travelers can select their meals online up to 24 hours before take-off, streamlining the process and reducing food waste.

On shorter trips, passengers are offered a variety of cold meals, usually accompanied by cheese and dessert. On longer flights, there is a wider selection of hot dishes, which highlight elements of Swiss cuisine and come with sides like cheese, dessert, and salad. These meal choices are rotated periodically to reflect seasonal variations and offer travelers new experiences.

Certain flights also include meals inspired by the "Swiss Flavors of Switzerland" initiative, which showcases authentic dishes from different Swiss regions. Whether travelers are seeking a light cold option or a more filling hot meal, SWISS guarantees a premium dining experience, enriching the Business Class service.

For corporate travelers, this advance meal selection provides added convenience, allowing them to avoid making meal decisions while onboard. The ability to make a choice ahead of time also enables passengers to opt for dishes that suit their dietary requirements, improving the overall travel experience.

Additionally, this service supports SWISS’s environmental strategy, as it allows for more efficient meal preparation and minimizes food waste. By offering passengers the chance to choose their meals ahead of time, SWISS continues its efforts toward more eco-conscious travel practices, benefiting both the travelers and the planet.
