Iceland’s low-cost carrier, PLAY Airlines, has teamed up with GO7, a leader in airline technology, to expand its route offerings through Keflavík International Airport (KEF). This strategic partnership aims to enhance travel options across Iceland, Europe, and North America, marking a significant step for both companies in improving passenger experiences and global connectivity.

PLAY Airlines has grown rapidly since its launch in 2019, gaining a reputation for its extensive route network, punctual service, and competitive prices. Now, with its integration into GO7’s W2 global ticketing network, PLAY is available for booking on Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), making it easier for travelers to access its services.

The partnership allows PLAY Airlines to offer additional benefits, such as free stopovers in Iceland on all transatlantic flights, providing travelers with the opportunity to explore two destinations in one trip. Recently, PLAY has added new destinations to its roster, including Cardiff, Madeira, Marrakech, Vilnius, and Split. GO7’s W2 platform streamlines the booking process for Business Travel Managers, Online Travel Agencies, and other Travel Agencies’ preferred GDSs. PLAY flights are listed under GO7’s W1 marketing carrier code and are globally available under the W2 ticketing designator code. PLAY's attractive fares, which include a cabin bag and a checked bag up to 23kg, are now accessible on major GDSs.

Tatiana Shirokova, Head of Distribution at PLAY Airlines, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "We are delighted to join GO7’s W2 Network. This collaboration aligns with our mission to provide travelers with a seamless and enjoyable travel experience while focusing on affordability and convenience."

A representative from GO7 also highlighted the benefits of the partnership: "We are excited to welcome PLAY Airlines to our W2 Network. This collaboration demonstrates our shared commitment to enhancing air travel convenience. By integrating PLAY’s route network into our platform, we aim to improve the travel experience for passengers and support seamless global connectivity."

This partnership is expected to make travel more affordable and accessible, encouraging more travelers to explore a wider range of destinations across Iceland, Europe, and North America.
