Pegasus Airlines has officially launched direct flights between Ankara, the vibrant heart of Türkiye, and Lisbon, Portugal's historic capital. This much-anticipated route commenced on April 2, 2024, marking a significant milestone as Pegasus Airlines' first foray into Portugal. The service, operating three times weekly, starts with fares as low as 89.99 EUR, making it an attractive option for travelers.

The inauguration of this route was celebrated at Ankara Esenboğa Airport, attended by dignitaries from both countries, including Onur Dedeköylü, Pegasus Airlines' CCO, and João Macedo, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Portugal. This event symbolized not just the launch of a new flight path but the bridging of two cultures.

João Macedo echoed these sentiments, underscoring the benefits of this direct link not just in terms of trade and tourism but also in fostering deeper human connections between the two countries. He expressed confidence that the flights would contribute to a greater mutual understanding and appreciation.

This new route by Pegasus Airlines is a testament to the airline's ongoing commitment to expand its network, connecting more destinations and enriching the travel experience for its passengers. As Türkiye's digital airline continues to grow, its role in promoting tourism and facilitating international cooperation becomes increasingly significant. The Ankara-Lisbon flights not only offer a convenient travel option but also pave the way for cultural exchanges and economic partnerships, promising a brighter future for bilateral relations between Türkiye and Portugal.
