Civil protection authorities, together with local governments, have issued a warning about adverse weather conditions. According to forecasts, the storm will begin in Sardinia and gradually spread to central areas, including several northern and central regions. Strong wind gusts, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall are expected.

Based on the forecasts, a red alert has been issued in one northern region due to the risk of flooding, especially along the major Po River. An orange alert is in effect in certain northern areas and islands, while a yellow alert covers several central and southern regions. The main risks are related to potential flooding and infrastructure damage.

Given the ongoing challenges, authorities are not only preparing for new weather threats but also continuing recovery efforts from recent events. The Italian Civil Protection Service is actively working to address the aftermath of severe flooding that has heavily affected the Emilia-Romagna region. Since October 19, around 1,000 volunteers have been deployed in the affected areas, including regional forces, national organizations, and mobile units from other regions. The primary efforts are focused on water pumping and conducting water rescue operations.

Of the 1,000 volunteers, more than 500 were provided by Emilia-Romagna, while about 200 came from national organizations such as the Alpine Association and the Italian Red Cross. Additionally, over 300 individuals have been sent from different regions. The Civil Protection Service emphasizes the importance of organized and coordinated efforts to ensure safety and effective assistance to those affected.

The situation remains critical as both emergency services and local authorities work to mitigate further risks associated with the approaching storm. With alerts ranging from red to yellow across various regions, the authorities are prioritizing both preventive measures and recovery operations. As weather conditions evolve, officials urge residents to stay informed and follow safety guidelines to minimize risks and ensure the effectiveness of ongoing efforts.
