This year, travelers heading to Spain will find pleasant changes at airports that will make the process of passing security control faster and more comfortable.

Three of the resort country's busiest airports - in Madrid, Barcelona, and Palma - are introducing new technologies that will allow tourists to no longer remove liquids and electronics from their hand luggage. Express reports on this.

This is great news for the millions of Britons who visit Spain every year. Now there will be no long queues and waiting, which means that tourists will be able to start their vacation faster and reduce the level of stress at airports.

The new equipment, which will soon be installed, scans luggage using the latest technology, making the control process more accurate and faster.

Airport operator Aena expects this innovation to significantly reduce queue times, especially during the summer season.

"The airport will be equipped with more modern technology in terms of security and quality, which means that passengers will not have to remove items from their hand luggage, including liquids or electronic devices such as computers," announced Thomas Melgar, director of Palma Airport in Mallorca, more than a year ago.

The exact launch date of the new system has not yet been determined, but it is expected to be ready this year.
