Emergency Landing of TUI Flight in Brussels

A TUI flight from Heraklion, the capital of Crete, to Brussels made an emergency landing at Brussels Airport due to a cargo fire alert. Passengers were evacuated using inflatable slides, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The Boeing 737-800 aircraft with registration number OO-TUK, operated by Tuifly Belgium, landed and stopped on runway 25L at Brussels International Airport. The incident occurred after the crew received a fire alert in the cargo hold. At the end of the flight, the aircraft issued an emergency alert but landed safely.

According to passengers, panic ensued onboard when the evacuation was required. Many tried to take their hand luggage with them, which complicated the evacuation process. Some passengers couldn't stay calm, leading to chaos.
