A tall 45-floor tower has just opened its doors in the middle of Danang, offering hundreds of new places to sleep right beside the Han River. Opened in May 2025, the new property is located near key transport links and cultural venues, including the city’s administrative zone. It is the first facility in Vietnam to operate under the Courtyard by Marriott name, marking a notable addition to the city’s expanding hospitality landscape in a busy urban corridor.

The hotel stands just over four kilometers from Danang International Airport and is positioned close to the downtown area, within reach of public transport and pedestrian routes. It’s now part of a growing group of global hotel brands setting up in Danang, showing how the city’s center keeps changing and building up with new projects. Its placement may appeal to those who prefer city-based accommodation over beachside resorts, particularly for shorter visits or trips focused on cultural exploration.

There’s plenty to see just around the corner from the new hotel, with familiar spots easy to reach on foot. Dragon Bridge, known for its weekend evening fire and water shows, can be reached on foot in under 15 minutes. Colorful market stalls buzz with activity, riverside walkways invite late-evening wanderers, and tiny cafés glow into the night with chatter and clinking cups. Not far away, places like the Museum of Cham Sculpture open a window into the region’s past with old carvings, artifacts, and artwork that help explain how the area grew over time.

With this place now open, there will be more beds available right in the middle of town which is especially helpful when the city fills up during holidays and big local events. Travelers may also find nearby attractions such as Danang Cathedral, noted for its pink façade and colonial-era architecture, or the Sun Wheel, a towering Ferris wheel that offers sweeping views of the city skyline. You can walk to all these places and get a real feel for how the city moves, sounds, and comes alive around you.

As Danang continues to develop its urban tourism appeal, centrally placed hotels such as this may shift attention from the city’s beachfront areas and encourage new patterns of travel. The addition contributes to the evolving landscape of urban stays, where walkability, cultural access, and logistical convenience are becoming key considerations. It also reflects a broader trend toward year-round travel beyond coastal resort seasons.
