Berlin Airport Unveils New App-Connected Kiosks to Speed Up Ryanair Baggage Drop

Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) has set up four new digital kiosks in Terminal 2 for exclusive use by Ryanair passengers. Built in collaboration with the tech company Airware, the stations allow travelers to handle baggage check-in themselves through the Ryanair app. Scanning the QR code at the kiosk lets travelers connect their device and manage weighing and tagging their luggage without needing staff assistance.

The kiosks are equipped with integrated scales and printers, enabling passengers to complete the baggage drop-off independently. After using the Ryanair app to check in, passengers can:

  • Weigh their luggage and print baggage labels directly at the kiosk
  • View any excess baggage fees calculated automatically
  • Pay fees instantly within the app using saved payment methods
  • Follow personalized on-screen instructions tailored to their language preferences

This setup guarantees a simple and efficient process that doesn’t require help from staff.
