Air Serbia has launched flights between Belgrade and Alicante, adding Costa Blanca to its schedule ahead of the main summer travel period. The service runs twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, using Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft. It brings one of Spain’s best-known Mediterranean holiday cities closer to passengers in Serbia and the wider region.

The airline described Alicante as part of its wider growth in Spain, where demand remains strong for leisure travel. The city offers more than a beach break, with historic streets, local food, mild weather and access to the wider south-eastern coast. Air Serbia said the route supports both holiday and regional travel needs.

Alicante becomes the airline’s sixth destination in Spain, joining Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, Palma de Mallorca and Valencia. Air Serbia plans to expand again in September with new services to Tenerife and Seville. The additions show a clear focus on Spain as one of the airline’s main Mediterranean markets this year.

The new service makes it easier to plan trips to Alicante itself, as well as nearby places including Benidorm, Altea and Elche. Holidaymakers can use the city as a base for beaches, coastal drives, old-town walks and day trips around Costa Blanca, without first travelling through another airport.

The launch gives summer travellers another straightforward way to reach Spain’s coast at a time when Mediterranean demand is usually high. Alicante has the practical mix many people look for in one trip: sea, food, history and nearby resort towns. With Tenerife and Seville due to follow in September, Spain is taking up more space in Air Serbia’s leisure schedule.
