Newcastle–Berlin Route Returns, Making Short Summer Trips Easier
Eurowings will resume direct flights between Newcastle Airport and Berlin for a second summer season after strong passenger demand last year. The seasonal route will operate from May to October, restoring a direct link between northeast England and the German capital. Its return confirms Berlin’s status as one of the most popular European city-break destinations for travellers departing from Newcastle.
The seasonal service will run twice a week, with the updated schedule designed around short city breaks. Key details of the route include:
- flights operating on Thursdays and Sundays
- afternoon departures from Newcastle
- arrival in Berlin early enough for same-day plans
Fares for the route start from £48.94 one way, with timings that make three or four-day trips easier to organise around work or school schedules.

Summer Festivals Drive Demand for Berlin Travel

In June, Berlin hosts the Fête de la Musique, when live concerts spread across streets, parks, and public squares throughout the city.
