Royal Jordanian is set to increase its winter flight frequency between Berlin Brandenburg Airport and Amman. The airline plans to introduce an additional Sunday service to its existing Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday schedule, increasing the total to four weekly flights beginning in October. The journey lasts roughly four and a half hours, offering travelers an additional option to connect Germany and Jordan during the winter season.

This extra service should make it easier to travel on this route. Royal Jordanian's decision is in line with the general trend of increasing the number of flights between European and Middle Eastern cities during off-peak periods. By increasing capacity, the airline supports both business and leisure passengers, offering more flight choices and improving access to Queen Alia Airport, Jordan's main international gateway.

Amman, situated roughly 900 meters above sea level, continues to be an ideal destination for short city breaks even during winter. The temperature in the capital is mild, with cool evenings and pleasant days for walking. Travelers can visit major historic attractions like the Amman Citadel and the Roman Theater, both situated close to the city center. Local cafés and traditional markets stay open all year, giving you a taste of city life all year long.

The expanded route also improves access to Jordan’s main tourist landmarks. Petra, an ancient city carved into sandstone cliffs and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attracts fewer tourists during the cooler months, making for a more peaceful visit. Wadi Rum, celebrated for its vast desert scenery, provides perfect conditions for both hiking and observing the night sky. Travelers can also reach the Dead Sea and Aqaba in a few hours, where mild temperatures allow for swimming and outdoor activities.

The updated schedule makes trips to the Middle East easier and opens up additional options for winter journeys. This move could attract more tourists during the off-season, helping to balance visitor numbers throughout the year and support Jordan's hotel industry after the summer peak. With the onset of winter in Europe, the availability of more flights shows how important it is to have year-round connections to places with culture, history, and nature.
