Akasa Air, known for being India's rapidly expanding airline, has initiated its flight operations from Ayodhya, marking its third destination in Uttar Pradesh. The airline now offers daily flights connecting Pune and Ayodhya via Delhi, facilitating travel without requiring passengers to change aircraft. This service commenced on 15 February 2024, with the inaugural flight departing from Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya and arriving at Pune International Airport, incorporating a stopover at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

Ayodhya, revered for its profound spiritual and cultural heritage, continues to draw visitors worldwide. Akasa Air's latest route aims to meet the increasing demand for air travel in this region, reflecting the airline's mission to bridge metros with non-metro cities across India seamlessly.

Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Akasa Air, emphasized the significance of Ayodhya in the airline's network, citing the expected boost in tourism and air travel demand. He stated, "Our daily flights connecting Ayodhya with major hubs like Pune and Delhi will not only enhance connectivity but also aid in the economic development of the region." Akasa Air is dedicated to providing a smooth and affordable travel experience, contributing positively to Ayodhya's growth narrative.

Belson Coutinho, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing & Experience Officer, shared the enthusiasm for introducing the unique Akasa experience to Ayodhya. The airline is celebrated for its distinct offerings, such as Café Akasa and Pets on Akasa, alongside its signature warm service. Coutinho looks forward to welcoming travelers from across the nation and ensuring a memorable journey onboard.

Akasa Air's commitment to quality and inclusivity is evident in its modern fleet, designed for comfort and convenience, featuring ample legroom and USB charging ports. The airline's onboard meal service, Café Akasa, presents a variety of healthy and indulgent options, including industry-firsts like Kombucha. Furthermore, Akasa Air has made strides in inclusivity by offering safety instruction cards and menu cards in Braille for visually impaired passengers.

Since its inception in August 2022, Akasa Air has transported over 7.7 million passengers, connecting 20 cities across India. The airline's expansion into Ayodhya underscores its commitment to enhancing domestic connectivity and supporting India's growing travel demands. With a robust booking system available through its website, mobile apps, travel agents, and OTAs, Akasa Air continues to make air travel more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
