Eurowings’ Five New Routes Open Up More European City Breaks in 2027
Eurowings will add five direct European routes from Stuttgart, Hanover and Berlin in 2027, including new links to Copenhagen, Madrid and destinations in Italy and Ireland. The expansion could make short breaks easier to arrange without a stopover, but the schedules vary sharply. Travellers eyeing a Friday-to-Monday trip may find some routes more practical than others, particularly where flights operate only twice weekly.
Which New Eurowings Flights Fit Your Dates?
- Stuttgart–Copenhagen: From 28 March 2027; six weekly, Sunday–Friday.
- Stuttgart–Madrid: From 28 March; six weekly, Sunday–Friday.
- Hanover–Venice: From 28 March; Thursdays and Sundays.
- Hanover–Dublin: From 3 May; Mondays and Fridays.
- Berlin–Verona: From 4 June; Mondays and Fridays.
- Edinburgh: From Berlin and Hamburg, 4 December 2026–4 January 2027; Fridays and Sundays.
- All services: Eurowings. The five 2027 routes join the summer timetable; end dates have not been specified.
A low headline fare may not reflect the final cost. Eurowings' BASIC ticket covers just one under-seat bag (40 × 30 × 25 cm); adding an 8 kg cabin bag starts at €21, while a 23 kg checked suitcase starts at €18 per flight. Online check-in is free, but counter check-in costs €5 if added when booking or €20 if requested at the airport.
Copenhagen Airport's metro reaches Nørreport in about 15 minutes, while Venice Marco Polo has ACTV line 5 and ATVO buses to Piazzale Roma. Verona's AirLink 199 runs to Porta Nuova station, where trains continue towards Lake Garda. Dublin Airport has no rail link; travellers need a bus or taxi into the city. Those airport journeys are worth factoring in when choosing flights and accommodation, especially if you're only visiting for a few days.
Venice's Thursday and Sunday flights could work for a three-night stay. Dublin and Verona offer a possible Friday-to-Monday break, provided seats are available on the return flight. Stuttgart's six-weekly routes offer more flexibility but neither operates on Saturdays. Edinburgh's festive flights are separate and finish in early January. Most EU tourists need a £20 UK ETA; Irish citizens and travellers with qualifying UK immigration status are exempt.
