easyJet Adds Planes and Expands Direct Flights from Birmingham
easyJet has decided to grow its activity at Birmingham Airport by keeping two Airbus A320 planes stationed there full-time. The first of these aircraft entered service in early May, with the second expected to begin operations in June. The airline launched its base at the airport in March 2024. Since then, the number of destinations served from Birmingham has increased from 15 to 34, in line with preparations for the summer season.
The latest changes include the introduction of new direct flights from Birmingham to several cities in Europe. Newly added flights now take off from Birmingham to places like Bordeaux in France and Gran Canaria in Spain. Flights to Gibraltar are expected to start running from the beginning of June. Looking at the current flight timetable, it seems that no other airline flies directly between Birmingham and Gibraltar.
