A United Airlines plane heading from Israel has made an emergency landing in New York after experiencing severe turbulence, forcing several passengers to seek medical attention.
According to United Airlines, the plane, which had been in the air for more than 10 hours from Tel Aviv to New Jersey, landed at New York's Stewart International Airport due to strong winds that caused restlessness on board, USA TODAY reports.
"United Airlines Flight 85 landed safely at New York's Stewart International Airport at about 6:45 p.m. local time on Friday, March 29, after the crew reported a medical emergency," the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said.
