The American carrier was named the "Airline of the Year 2024"
American airline Delta Air Lines has been awarded the Airline of the Year title by the aviation publication Air Transport World.
The carrier is continuously improving its services by updating flights with new seats and features. Delta Air Lines customers may notice these changes during their next trip, as reported by The Sun.
The first-class cabins on the airline's Boeing 737-800 will receive new seats with increased storage space and more durable tables.
Additionally, Delta will be updating its Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin seats on Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
"Delta is committed to creating a consistent and enhanced customer experience across all touchpoints of the journey, including offering the best products for our customers during flights," said Mauricio Parise, vice president of brand design.
"Enhancing the interior of our aircraft through select upgrades will provide customers with more premium options to choose from."
New and improved hygiene and entertainment features have been introduced to enhance the user experience. These include new 10-inch Panasonic screens and contactless features in the airplane's bathrooms.
Furthermore, the airline is adding eight additional Delta One Suites, a business class option featuring all-suite seating, to its Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
The suites are equipped with sliding doors, beds, large entertainment systems, and amenities such as high-quality linens and designer tableware.
These upgrades follow Delta's reversal of several controversial changes to its SkyMiles loyalty program.
As reported by TravelWise, Delta Air Lines is setting new standards in the airline industry by enhancing its SkyMiles program through innovative integration of SkyMiles membership, Fly Delta, and Delta Sync products.
