Qatar Airways Restores Abu Dhabi Flights

Qatar Airways has resumed passenger flights to Abu Dhabi, restoring a double-daily service to the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The route is now operating again as part of the airline’s wider network recovery across the Middle East. With Abu Dhabi back on the map, Qatar Airways now serves three destinations in the UAE, alongside Dubai and Sharjah.

The Abu Dhabi restart follows Qatar Airways’ recent return to several regional destinations. The airline has resumed flights to Baghdad, Basra and Erbil in Iraq, as well as daily services to Bahrain, Damascus and Kozhikode. Qatar Airways says the phased restoration is continuing across its global network, which spans more than 160 destinations through Doha’s Hamad International Airport.

Routes Recently Restored

The airline’s latest network rebuild includes:

• Abu Dhabi: double-daily passenger flights;
• Iraq: Baghdad, Basra and Erbil;
• Daily services: Bahrain, Damascus and Kozhikode;
• UAE network: Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.

Passengers are being advised to check the airline’s website or app, as schedules may still change.

The return of Abu Dhabi adds another Gulf option for passengers connecting through Doha. The city gives access to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Yas Island, Saadiyat Island and nearby desert resorts. Combined with Dubai and Sharjah, the restored UAE network gives travellers more ways to plan city breaks, business trips, family visits or multi-stop Gulf journeys.

Qatar Airways is rebuilding regional flying step by step, but the airline is still warning that schedules can change for operational, regulatory or safety reasons.
