Nonstop Flights Between Hanoi and Xi’an Make Cultural Journeys Easier for Travelers

Vietjet has launched a direct air connection between Hanoi and Xi’an, two cities known for their deep cultural roots and architectural heritage. The new route started operating on July 6, 2025, and is expected to improve travel between Southeast and East Asia by offering a quicker and more direct alternative to previous journeys with multiple stops. The move opens additional access for travelers interested in exploring these historically rich urban centers.
With four weekly round trips, the new connection makes getting between the cities much faster. The flight schedule is arranged to support overnight travel in both directions, providing flexibility for trip planning. Flight schedule:
- From Hanoi to Xi’an: Departs at 21:25 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays; arrives at 01:10 the following day
- From Xi’an to Hanoi: Departs at 02:10 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; arrives at 04:10 the same day (local time)
Getting to Xi’an’s historic and cultural highlights is becoming more convenient for visitors. This landmark from the Tang era stands as one of Xi’an’s clearest links to the spread of Buddhism in ancient China. Muslim Street sits at the center of Xi’an and stays busy day and night with food stalls, local snacks, and centuries of tradition. The old city wall in Xi’an still circles the center, and many choose to explore it on foot or by bike with the city spread out below.
In Hanoi, visitors can explore equally meaningful locations. Serving as a center for Confucian studies, the Temple of Literature reveals much about Vietnam’s educational heritage. Still carrying trains and walkers alike, Long Bien Bridge, crafted by Gustave Eiffel, provides wide river views that many enjoy. Serving as a cultural focal point, Dong Xuan Market attracts many with its range of traditional products, textiles, and food stalls that bring Hanoi’s local life to the forefront.

By removing the need for long connections, this service makes it easier for travelers to organize focused heritage trips with less downtime. It supports growing interest in regional cultural exchange and allows travelers to plan multi-destination trips with greater ease. Connecting these two ancient capitals directly helps travelers experience the unique architecture, flavors, and cultural heritage both cities proudly showcase.
