Mysterious triangles: what do these stickers in the airplane cabin mean and why are they useful
When traveling by air, passengers may notice triangle-shaped stickers near some seats. These mysterious signs play an important role in ensuring passenger safety.
They are used by crew members who are sometimes required to monitor the condition of the outside of the plane from the windows. According to the Mirror, one of the crew members with the username @_hennylim_ on TikTok provided a detailed explanation of these markings.
Passengers should know that seats marked with red or black triangles offer the best viewing areas. The wings are clearly visible from the windows below them.
"1. Passengers sitting next to the triangles have the best view of the wings.
2. If the crew needs to check the wings, these triangles give them the best viewpoints of the rails and flaps from the outside," the author of the video said.
In the event of an emergency, passengers in these seats can help the crew coordinate and assist others. This way, flight attendants can respond more quickly to hazards or malfunctions.
Passengers in these designated seats have the opportunity to enjoy scenic views during the flight while observing the wings and engines of the aircraft. Photos taken from these windows also look more aesthetically pleasing.
