"Juicy" sausages, terrible coffee and unappetizing pancakes: airplane passengers rated airline breakfasts
By offering their feedback in a TikTok video, travelers filmed themselves eating in the morning, and every element was also caught on camera. Some even rated each dish: influencer Ashley Yee gave Korean Air's pork sausage eight out of 10 points, while the "dry" looking potatoes received a seven.
At Malaysia Airways, the TikTok duo @our.travel.diary gave a white bun in plastic wrapping three out of 10, and their delicious potato and egg omelette received an impressive 100 points out of 10. This was reported by dailymail.co.
TikTok user @munchwithyou filmed everything she ate during a Singapore Airlines flight for her followers. It seems that she was sitting in one of the premium classes, as the food was served on plates, not in disposable containers. The main component of her morning meal was soy chicken with noodles, a croissant, strawberry yogurt, fruit salad, and a cupcake without frosting.
Tiktoker @anjaliwandering flew business class on Emirates and documented everything she ate during the luxury flight. The video shows several different dishes, including waffles with berry compote, fruit salad, and a croissant with butter and strawberry jam.
In the accompanying caption, she explains: "It was so good, I'm still thinking about it." In the comments, she also explained that they were offered hot food, such as an English breakfast, but she chose waffles.
During a 16-hour flight to Sydney in Air Canada's economy class, TikTok user Sammy K (@skzzolno) reviewed her "breakfast". In the video, she showed a mixture of morning treats, including "pancakes, fruit, some bread and butter... dishes and water."
Moving on to the coffee, she describes it as a "simple black roast" that is "good".
Travel influencer Joan, who uses the handle @backpackerflipflops, posted on TikTok her breakfast on a Delta first class flight from New York to Fort Lauderdale. Her camera shows the main course, which looks like a generous square of scrambled eggs with two stalks of asparagus and a tomato.
Other items on her tray include a croissant, which she described as "delicious," and a bowl of fruit salad, which she said "can't be messed up." However, she did not give a positive assessment of the main omelette, saying that she probably should have chosen one of the other two options on offer. "I just didn't like it!" – she exclaimed.
TikTok influencer Ashley Yi filmed herself eating breakfast, rating each dish, while flying on Korean Air. First of all, she takes a bite of an omelette with onions and roasted bell peppers and expresses her delight as she enjoys the taste. The egg creation gets an impressive nine out of 10.
Next, she tries a piece of pork sausage and gives it an eight out of 10, finding it "juicy" with "good flavor."
From the main course, Ashley tries a piece of red-skinned fried potatoes, which she gives a lower rating of seven out of 10 because it was "a little dry."
Continuing her food review, she notes in the caption that "the spinach and cherry tomatoes were a 10 out of 10 along with the omelette."
Along with the cooked breakfast, Ashley received a croissant, which she said was perfect with butter and jam, yogurt, which she didn't like, and a giant nutmeg grape, which she called "ELITE."
Izzy Laborda traveled with the Dutch airline KLM and used TikTok to record the time of her breakfast in economy class. In the caption, she explained that "today we have an economy breakfast with the addition of 'Miss Congeniality' because she was watching a movie on the screen while eating.
During the flight, she received a wheat ciabatta sandwich, strawberry yogurt, fruit salad, and coffee. She rated the sandwich, which included an egg, gouda cheese, and Dijon cheese, eight out of 10. Izzy was not impressed with her cup of coffee, and she gave it a one out of 10 and also expressed disgust. Finally, she ate her fruit salad and gave it a satisfactory 10 out of 10.
TikTok user @our.travel.diary filmed them preparing breakfast on a Malaysian Airlines flight to Kuala Lumpur.
She describes the first item as an "egg and vegetable burger" and gives it seven out of 10. After the dish is cooked, she unwraps the "white bun" and gives it three out of 10. Meanwhile, her partner's potato and egg omelet initially received approval and a six out of 10 rating. But when he chews a few more times, he gives it a "100/10." Her vanilla dessert gets a 10 out of 10, as does the miniature blueberry muffin to finish it off.
