Elevating Inflight Dining: Japan Airlines Introduces Joshu Wagyu from Paris to Haneda
Japan Airlines, in partnership with SARL OMATSU FRANCE, is set to redefine the inflight dining experience for First Class and Business Class passengers flying from Paris to Haneda. Starting March 1, 2024, travelers will have the exclusive opportunity to savor two special menus featuring the exquisite Joshu Wagyu beef from Gunma Prefecture, marking a pioneering step in serving locally processed Japanese beef onboard.
The collaboration heralds a groundbreaking initiative, seamlessly blending the culinary traditions of Japan and France. Chef HAYASHI Daisuke and chef TESHIMA Ryuji have masterfully created dishes that highlight the rich flavors and premium quality of Joshu Wagyu, offering a "Washoku" confit and the innovative "PARIS-DON" rice bowl, respectively.
This initiative supports the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries' efforts to expand Japanese beef exports, showcasing a successful partnership between JAL, "WAGYU RESTAURANT 1129", and local French meat industry leaders. It underscores a significant achievement in meeting France's stringent meat processing standards, allowing the luxury of Japanese Wagyu beef to be processed and sliced locally in France for the first time for inflight dining.
Japan Airlines' commitment to promoting Joshu Wagyu not only enhances the inflight dining experience but also aims to boost the global demand for high-quality Japanese Wagyu beef. This initiative represents a fusion of culinary excellence and international collaboration, offering passengers a taste of Japan's finest Wagyu beef, meticulously prepared and presented with a touch of French elegance.
