Cruise Line's Newest Ship Promises Exclusive Live Shows and Themed Experiences
Margaritaville at Sea is raising the curtain on a spectacular array of entertainment options aboard its latest vessel, Islander, which is set to embark on its maiden voyage from Port Tampa Bay in June. Guests sailing on the Islander can anticipate an extraordinary lineup of entertainment, featuring two brand-new scripted live production shows, two themed nights, and an assortment of poolside activities unique to the ship.
Karen Maybury, Vice President of Entertainment at Margaritaville at Sea, expressed excitement about the forthcoming entertainment offerings, stating, "The lineup of entertainment we’ve created is going to blow guests away as the highlight of their experience onboard the Islander." Live music will be a focal point, providing a lively soundtrack to every voyage, complemented by a blend of familiar favorites and fresh elements inspired by Tampa, Key West, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
The spotlight onboard the Islander will shine brightly on two original scripted live production shows:
Conky Tonkin’ at Sea: This country-themed extravaganza promises an unforgettable journey to Nashville, featuring a mix of contemporary and classic country hits that will have audiences singing and dancing along.
Caribbean Heat Remix: Building upon the success of a beloved Margaritaville at Sea favorite, this show celebrates the vibrant world of Caribbean Heat through dynamic dance, acrobatics, and infectious beats.
In addition to the live shows, guests can indulge in two themed experiences:
Boots and Bubbles (Dress to Impress): An elegant evening affair combining coastal country charm with sophistication, featuring themed dining, line dancing classes, and more.
Rock the Trop: A lively celebration of tropical vibes and rock 'n' roll energy, offering family-friendly activities by day and electrifying entertainment under the stars by night.
The Islander's pool decks will provide three distinct atmospheres, catering to different preferences, from high-energy party vibes to relaxed, adults-only retreats.
The ship itself boasts 12 passenger decks accommodating 2,650 passengers, with redesigned staterooms featuring custom styling inspired by the sea and sky. Exciting innovations include a 14-story atrium adorned with nautical flair, unique bars, and family-friendly attractions like a mini-golf course and play pad.
The inaugural sailing of the Margaritaville at Sea Islander is scheduled for June 14, offering a 4-night itinerary from Port Tampa Bay, with stops in Cozumel, Mexico, and two days at sea filled with excitement and entertainment.
