Alaska Airlines accidentally lost a passenger's dog: the pet was reunited with its owner a few days later
An extraordinary incident occurred at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, where a dog named Moose was not allowed to board an Alaska Airlines flight due to a mistake. The animal was accidentally lost while loading luggage.
Moose was supposed to fly with his owner, but stayed at the airport overnight under the supervision of the airline's team. According to CNN, the next day the dog escaped during an outdoor walk, breaking free of the leash.
The airline immediately began searching, involving the owner, who returned to the airport when he learned that his pet was not on board.
A day later, the animal was found on the airport grounds. He was in good condition and even had a hearty breakfast thanks to the officers.
Fortunately, the dog was not injured and was safely reunited with its owner.
Alaska Airlines apologized for the inconvenience and stress caused to the passenger and his pet.
"We are glad that the dog has safely returned to his owner. We sincerely apologize to the owner for the stressful situation," said a representative of Alaska Airlines.
As previously reported by TravelWise, iGA Istanbul Airport offers its customers who are afraid of flying the opportunity to reduce stress with the help of therapy dogs.
