UK Gets First Indoor Slide Park With ‘Flying’ Coaster
A fast-growing American indoor attraction is preparing to open its first European location in Nottingham next month. Slick City, which already operates dozens of parks across the United States, will introduce a large indoor adventure venue combining dry slides, aerial rides and activity zones. The opening marks the brand’s arrival in the UK market and its first standalone indoor slide park anywhere in Europe.
The new site will cover more than 4,600 square metres and centre around a mix of high-speed slides designed with different drops, turns and competitive layouts. Attractions include the four-lane Fast Lane racing slide, the spinning Royal Flush experience and Avalanche, created to mimic downhill skiing movement without snow. A soft play area will also be available for younger children visiting with families.
What Visitors Will Find Inside Slick City Nottingham
- World’s first gravity-powered UV AirGlider coaster
- Multiple dry slides with racing and drop features
- Freestyle and sport air courts for parkour activities
- Soft play zone for children under four
- On-site café and seating areas for parents
The park is open to visitors aged four and above, while younger children must be accompanied by an adult. Sessions are sold in timed slots, with 90-minute entry priced at £19.95 and 120-minute sessions at £24.95. The AirGlider ride can be added separately, alongside reusable grip socks required for access to the slides.
The Nottingham opening adds a new year-round activity option in the Midlands, particularly useful during colder months when outdoor attractions become less practical. Its indoor format places it alongside existing leisure destinations in the city, encouraging longer family visits that can include Nottingham Castle, nearby shopping districts and weekend breaks combining entertainment with short city stays.
Indoor attractions such as this allow visits to continue throughout the year, without depending on seasonal theme parks or good weather. Venues designed for short sessions also suit day trips and weekend visits. Slick City brings to the UK a type of indoor activity already common in the United States, centred on active entertainment for different age groups.
