Tourists will pay a tax for visiting Greece

Greece has introduced a new "climate crisis resilience fee" for tourists to help fund future disaster relief efforts.

The new tax rates per room per night are as follows: 10 euros for five-star hotels from March to October and 4 euros from November to February.

For four-star hotels, the rate is 7 euros from March to October and 3 euros from November to February. For three-star hotels, it is 3 euros from March to October and 1.50 euros from November to February.

The amount of tax for one or two star hotels

For one or two-star hotels, tourists must pay 1.50 euros from March to October and 0.50 euros from November to February, according to the Greek government's latest tourist tax policy.
