Taiwan is definitely one of the most interesting tourist destinations in the world. There are many attractions worthy of tourists' attention and plenty of entertainment options that draw travelers here for a new dose of experiences.

At the same time, Taiwan offers tourists the opportunity to explore and savor the local cuisine, which can captivate even the most discerning palates. NewsBytes has outlined some organic meat-free dishes to try in Taiwan to experience the unique flavors of this island nation.

Grilled Mochi

For many, Mochi is a familiar dish. While most people perceive Mochi as a Japanese dessert with a sweet filling wrapped in chewy rice dough, Taiwan offers a new twist on the dish. Here, Mochi is skewered and grilled until it becomes sticky. Then, it's topped with various fillings and sauces, which can range from savory to sweet.

Cai Bao (Pan-Fried Buns)

These are pan-fried buns that are easily found on the streets of Taiwan. Vegan Cai Bao buns feature a vegetable filling and are served with a choice of sweet soy sauce or spicy sauce.
