Wizz Air is adding a new direct route from Stockholm Arlanda to Bucharest Băneasa, scheduled to start on 30 March 2026. The flight will operate three times a week and marks another step in the airline’s steady build-up at Sweden’s largest airport. The new service also lifts the total number of Wizz Air destinations from Arlanda, underlining continued demand for international routes linking Sweden with Eastern Europe.
The Stockholm–Bucharest Băneasa flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Services are planned with Airbus A321 aircraft offering 239 seats. Bucharest Băneasa Airport sits closer to the city centre than the capital’s main airport and is commonly used for short-haul and regional services, making it a convenient arrival point for travellers heading into central Bucharest.
