Paderborn Keeps Its Alicante Winter Flights
Ryanair will continue flying between Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport and Alicante throughout the 2026/2027 winter timetable. The route will operate twice a week, keeping the Costa Blanca connection available beyond the summer season. The airport said the winter flights have already been released for booking, giving passengers in Ostwestfalen, Südwestfalen and Lippe an early chance to plan trips.
Alicante became a priority after a 2022 customer survey at Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport asked people in the surrounding regions about their preferred destinations. The Spanish city finished clearly in first place. The airport then secured Ryanair for the route, which has since shown steady demand and remains one of its stronger leisure links.
Winter Flight Times
The service will run between October 2026 and March 2027:
- Tuesdays: Paderborn/Lippstadt 18:40, Alicante 21:25;
- Saturdays: Paderborn/Lippstadt 15:00, Alicante 17:45;
- Tuesdays: Alicante 15:25, Paderborn/Lippstadt 18:15;
- Saturdays: Alicante 11:45, Paderborn/Lippstadt 14:35.
Airport managing director Roland Hüser said the flights are usually well to very well filled.
The route keeps Alicante, the Costa Blanca beaches and nearby towns such as Benidorm, Calpe and Torrevieja within easier reach during colder months. It also gives people in western Germany a direct option for winter sun, golf trips, coastal stays or visits with family and friends in Spain, without relying on larger airports farther away.
The route’s return for winter shows that Alicante remains a reliable choice for passengers beyond the main holiday season. Keeping the route in place gives passengers more certainty when planning off-season breaks and helps Paderborn/Lippstadt hold onto a popular leisure connection. For a regional airport, that kind of steady route can matter as much as a flashy new launch.
