New 485-Room Hotel Opens Six Minutes From Istanbul Airport
Istanbul Airport has a new hotel within walking distance of the terminal, giving transit passengers and early-departure travellers another place to stay without heading into the city. Hilton Istanbul Airport has 485 rooms and sits around six minutes away on foot. It is also the first internationally branded hotel located beside airport grounds in Türkiye, with direct access to both the terminal and the metro.

The hotel includes rooms and suites, an executive lounge overlooking the runway and gates, and three OXBO dining venues: a restaurant, café and 24-hour bar. Wellness facilities include an indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath and treatment rooms, while the gym is open around the clock with room-key access. Hilton says the property is its 100th hotel in Türkiye and its first airport hotel in the country.
The location also works for travellers who want to leave the airport during a longer stopover. The metro station opposite the hotel connects with central Istanbul, making sights such as Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque more accessible without arranging a taxi. That gives passengers the option of combining an overnight airport stay with several hours in the city rather than spending the entire connection near the terminal.
Early departures, overnight connections and long layovers are where the location matters most. Staying six minutes from the terminal removes a lengthy transfer back to Istanbul before or after a flight, while the metro keeps the city within reach when there is enough time to explore. Travellers should still allow for airport security and check-in times, especially at a hub as large as Istanbul Airport.
