Nantes Adds Brussels and Essaouira Flights
easyJet and Nantes Atlantique Airport have announced two new direct routes for autumn 2026, adding Brussels and Essaouira to the airport’s schedule. Both services will operate twice a week. The Brussels route will begin on 26 October, with flights every Monday and Friday, while Essaouira will start on 27 October, running every Tuesday and Saturday.
The new routes will strengthen links between Nantes, Belgium and Morocco. easyJet will be the only airline operating both services, adding to its existing presence at Nantes Atlantique. The Brussels flight will take around 1 hour 30 minutes, compared with more than seven hours by car, giving western France a quicker route to Belgium’s main airport.
New easyJet Routes
- Brussels: Mondays and Fridays from 26 October;
- Essaouira: Tuesdays and Saturdays from 27 October.
Brussels Airport also gives access to Belgian cities including Antwerp, Bruges, Ghent and Liège, as well as Dutch cities such as Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Essaouira adds a Moroccan coastal option between Casablanca, Agadir and Marrakech.
The Brussels route makes short city breaks, business trips and visits to European institutions easier from Nantes. Travellers can reach Grand-Place, Brussels’ museums, beer cafés and onward rail links across Belgium. Essaouira brings Morocco’s Atlantic coast closer, with access to its UNESCO-listed medina, long beaches, kitesurfing spots and a more relaxed alternative to larger Moroccan cities.
The additions give Nantes passengers two very different autumn options: a fast European city link and a warmer coastal route. That mix is useful for people planning work trips, family visits or late-year holidays without travelling through Paris. The twice-weekly schedules are not huge, but they add practical choice where direct flights can save a full day on the road.
