Finnair has confirmed a new seasonal route to Alta in Northern Norway, expanding its summer 2026 Nordic offering. Beginning March 29 through October 22, flights will operate five times per week between Helsinki and Alta with a stop in Kittilä, using a 68-seat ATR aircraft. This enhancement reflects Finnair's attempt of making northern geography more reachable even during summer, as the interest in travel to Arctic north has increased year-round.

The route builds on the airline’s existing Nordic network and signals a shift from winter-centric services to broader year-round access.
