Eurowings Opens New Winter Routes to Lapland, Italy and the Middle East
Eurowings is widening its winter network with new direct routes and more destinations continuing beyond the summer season, giving travellers extra choices for city breaks, winter sun and trips to the Middle East. Berlin will have 38 destinations in the 2026/27 season, while Dusseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Hamburg, Hanover and Stuttgart also gain new services. Prague joins the expansion with a new direct link to Finnish Lapland.
New Routes and Winter Services to Know

- Prague–Rovaniemi: Every Sunday from 20 December until February 2027
- Berlin–Bilbao and Berlin–Porto: Twice weekly through winter
- Dubai: Daily from Berlin, four times weekly from Stuttgart and three times weekly from Cologne/Bonn
- Other winter additions include: Jerez from Hamburg, Alicante and Cairo from Hanover, and Cairo from Stuttgart
Not every new service runs throughout the whole winter, so dates matter when planning. Prague–Rovaniemi is limited to the main Lapland season, while Tbilisi from Cologne/Bonn is scheduled only for December and January. Other routes that were previously mainly summer options, including Bilbao, Porto and Tallinn, will continue into winter. Flights are already bookable through Eurowings’ website, app and regular sales channels.
The expanded network opens up a wider mix of winter trips. Bologna offers its UNESCO-listed porticoes, Piazza Maggiore and food markets, while Porto and Lisbon suit milder city breaks with riverfront districts and easy day trips. Jerez gives access to Andalusia and nearby Cádiz, Alicante works well for the Costa Blanca, while Kuusamo serves the Ruka area and Rovaniemi offers Ounasvaara ski resort and northern lights trips.
Some of the biggest gains are on routes that previously disappeared after summer. Bilbao, Porto and Tallinn now remain available into winter, while Bologna and Rovaniemi add new direct options for short breaks and seasonal trips. The catch is frequency: several services operate only once or twice a week, so checking the exact flying days before booking hotels or connections will matter more than usual.
