Eindhoven Gains Direct Route To Yerevan

Wizz Air will introduce a new direct connection between Eindhoven and Yerevan starting 26 October 2026. The route adds Armenia to the airport’s destination network and will operate during the winter season. Flights are scheduled three times per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The service will be operated using an Airbus A321neo aircraft configured with 239 seats.

The new route connects the southern Netherlands with the Armenian capital, creating a regular air link between the two regions. According to the airline, the service is expected to be particularly relevant for people with family connections in Armenia, as well as for those travelling to visit relatives or receive visitors. The addition expands the range of destinations available from Eindhoven Airport.

Yerevan is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and serves as Armenia’s political, cultural and economic centre. The city has many historic buildings, museums and views towards Mount Ararat. Flying direct usually takes less time than journeys with a transfer, which makes winter trips easier to plan and reduces time spent at connecting airports.

The route also gives easier access to other parts of Armenia, including monasteries such as Geghard and Tatev, as well as areas around Lake Sevan and Dilijan National Park. These places are visited for historic landmarks, mountain landscapes and traditional cuisine, with interest continuing beyond the main summer travel period.

The Eindhoven–Yerevan connection adds a direct option between Europe and the South Caucasus. Flying without a transfer can save time and reduce the need to change aircraft in larger hubs. A broader route network from regional airports also helps bring less frequently chosen destinations within easier reach when planning trips in different seasons.
