Starting in December 2025, Danish travelers will have a new winter escape with direct charter flights from Aalborg to Hurghada, Egypt. Operated by Jettime in partnership with Apollo Rejser, Bravo Tours, and Spies, these flights will run from December 23, 2025, to April 1, 2026. Initially, departures will be on Tuesdays during the holiday season, later switching to Wednesdays. This offers a convenient option for those seeking a warm and relaxing break from the Nordic winter.

This route presents a budget-friendly alternative to the Canary Islands, traditionally popular among Danish tourists. Hurghada’s appeal lies in its luxurious all-inclusive resorts, consistently warm weather, and affordable vacation packages. The direct flights eliminate long layovers, making travel smoother and more accessible. With increasing demand for winter sun destinations, this new route provides greater flexibility for travelers looking to explore an exotic yet economical getaway.

Beyond resort stays, Hurghada offers a variety of outdoor activities that appeal to adventurous travelers. The Red Sea’s clear waters are home to some of the world’s best diving and snorkeling sites, teeming with vibrant marine life. Visitors can also explore the vast desert through guided safaris, taking in dramatic sand dunes and traditional Bedouin culture. Excursions to the ancient sites, for history buffs give a sense of what millennia old Egypt is all about and turns Hurghada into something beyond just a beach destination.

Apart from its stunning natural sites, Hurghada has a vibrant cultural scene which adds some quality to your trip. The noisy markets, traditional bazaars and Egyptian food that it serves gives an authentic feel to the local life. Tourists can eat some fresh seafood, taste the local mezze or just enjoy their nightlife in the city. With a combination of relaxation and cultural exploration, Hurghada caters to diverse traveler interests, making it an exciting addition to the winter travel market.

For Danish travelers, this new route to Hurghada presents an opportunity to discover an alternative winter retreat that blends relaxation, adventure, and cultural enrichment. With direct connections, Egypt’s Red Sea coast is set to become a key destination for those seeking both comfort and discovery in the colder months.
