Condor Adds Three Daily Flights Between Gatwick and Frankfurt
Condor has started its first route in the United Kingdom, operating flights between London Gatwick and Frankfurt up to three times per day. The service started on 1 April 2026 and connects two well-travelled European cities often visited for business meetings and short stays. Flights are available in the morning, afternoon and evening, giving more flexibility when planning a brief stay or travelling there and back on the same day.
Flights depart from Gatwick’s North Terminal and create a regular link with Frankfurt, one of Europe’s main air travel hubs. The route also makes it easier to continue journeys through Germany, including connections to long-haul flights to destinations in Africa and Asia. The new service increases the number of daily departure options between the UK and continental Europe across different travel needs.
Condor is the fifth airline to begin operating from London Gatwick in recent weeks, following new services introduced by Jet2, Air France, Eurowings and Animawings. Several more airlines are expected to join the airport’s network during the summer season. The expansion reflects increased airline interest in Gatwick as carriers continue to widen their European and intercontinental route options.
Connection Opportunities Via Frankfurt
- Access to long-haul flights to Africa and Asia
- Additional options for European city connections
- Flexible timings suitable for short stays
- Same-day return possibilities for business trips
Several daily flights between London and Frankfurt make it simpler to combine a city visit with further travel beyond Germany. As one of Europe’s main transfer airports, Frankfurt offers many connections to long-distance routes, which can help when arranging trips that include more than one destination. A greater choice of flight times makes it simpler to organise trips around meetings or quick weekend visits.
“We’re delighted to welcome Condor to London Gatwick, offering passengers even greater choice with this new, frequent service to Frankfurt. Whether travelling for work, leisure or to see loved ones, the route provides fantastic flexibility and connectivity. Condor’s arrival marks yet another exciting landmark in what has been a period of significant growth for the airport."
New short-haul routes with multiple daily departures often improve flexibility when organising travel across Europe. Additional airline options can also lead to more varied schedules at busy airports such as Gatwick. As networks expand, travellers may find it easier to combine direct city visits with connecting flights, especially where larger hubs provide access to a broader range of destinations beyond the initial route.
