Where the waterfall from the Harry Potter movie is located and how to prepare for the bumpy route

Tourists visiting Scotland often go to see the famous and impressive Stell Falls. It is one of the most beautiful places to relax and walk at any time of the year.

Locals say that there is no better time to get out and explore the beautiful Scottish countryside than in early spring. It's a chance to see a lot of stunning places, the Daily Record writes.

Although the temperature can still be a bit chilly at times, early spring is the perfect season for a daring hike. The famously breathtaking Steall Waterfall in Glen Nevis near Fort William awaits you.

Also known as An Steall Ban, the Highlands waterfall is the second highest in Scotland with a single drop of approximately 120 metres. The trail to the falls passes through absolutely incredible views of the waterfall.

According to hiking experts AllTrails, the circular route is approximately 2.3 miles long. It is moderately challenging, but there are rocky and slippery conditions along the way, so proper footwear is required.

The parking lot where the trail starts is about a 20-minute drive from Fort William. The trail leads you east into the forest and then gradually rises above the amazingly beautiful Steall Gorge.

Fans of the famous Harry Potter movie may recognize the waterfall in the background of various scenes. The most famous one was in the movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire when Harry is chased by a dragon during the Triwizard Tournament.

According to the travel website Tripadvisor, Steall Falls is also very popular with travellers. It currently has an average rating of 4.5 out of five based on 1524 reviews. "I insist on this walk. I promise you won't regret it. Easy walk for me, difficult for someone else in my group, so recommendations are really subjective," the reviews say.

"It's a great hike and not too hard with the right shoes. The reward is the view of the stunning waterfall. I highly recommend this hike," another review reads.
