Travelers from Indonesia are increasingly heading to Vietnam for vacations
Online travel service Traveloka has released the latest data showing a significant increase in demand for travel to Vietnam among Indonesians. Thus, compared to 2022, last year, the expenses of foreign tourists doubled.
It is noted that travelers were willing to spend their money on airline tickets, hotels, and local attractions. This was reported by Báo VietNamNet.
According to Traveloka CEO Iko Putera, this interest is likely due to the tourist appeal of places like Sa Pa and Da Nang, which have gone viral on social media. He also noted the affordability of hotel prices and airfares to these destinations.
Yento Chen, CEO of Destination Tour Indonesia, commented on the situation, saying that Vietnam is interesting to tourists as a relatively close destination with a variety of landscapes, delicious cuisine, and an interesting culture. In turn, Angelina Samudera, a representative of G-Tour, said that the most popular destination among their clients is Sa Pa, with 5-day tours actively booked during the snow season.
