The three longest routes from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport have been named
Seattle-Tacoma International (SEA) is one of the busiest airports on the US West Coast and a key hub for air travel to and from Washington State. Although it is known for being a hub for US carriers Alaska Airlines and Delta Air Lines, some foreign carriers operate incredibly long flights from Sea-Tac.
According to schedule data published by Cirium, an aviation analytics company, Star Alliance member Singapore Airlines operates the longest scheduled route from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in 2024. This route connects the Pacific Northwest with its hub at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), writes Simple Flying.
GCMap data shows that this route is a whopping 8,070 miles long, equivalent to 12,987 kilometers or 7,013 nautical miles. Singapore Airlines plans to operate this flight 188 times this year, an average of every two days, using 253-seat Airbus A350-900 wide-body aircraft.
A quick look at the tracking data from Flightradar24 tells us that flight number SQ27 is scheduled to depart Seattle at 08:45 local time and arrive in Singapore at 17:40 the following day. This gives it a scheduled block time of 16 hours and 55 minutes, with this year's rotations so far spending between 15 hours and 24 minutes and 17 hours and 20 minutes in the air.
The second and third longest routes served by Seattle-Tacoma International Airport this year are to two destinations in the Middle East with little in between. Indeed, Dubai International Airport (DXB) in the UAE is 7,425 miles (11,949 km / 6,452 nautical miles) away, while Doha Hamad International Airport in Qatar is 7,411 miles (11,927 km / 6,440 nautical miles) away.
