The Meteorological Service has issued a yellow warning due to snow: who is affected
At 4 a.m. on Monday, a yellow warning from the Met Office entered into effect for snowfall in England. Meteorologists are urging people in Greater London, Kent, Surrey, and Sussex to be prepared for a transport collapse.
The snow is expected to affect railroad traffic. According to the Independent, temperatures are expected to drop to near freezing as a "mix of sleet and snow showers" arrives.
Within a few days, a yellow level of danger will be introduced for the northeast of England, Yorkshire and the Humber, the east of England, the southeast of England and London.
The yellow level of danger for the northwest of England, the West Midlands, the East Midlands and the Southwest will remain in effect until Friday.
Snow is not the only hazard that can harm the British. The Environment Agency has warned of a high probability of flooding near rivers that have burst their banks.
On January 7, 192 flood warnings and 207 warnings of groundwater flooding and "traffic disruption" were issued in England in the south of England, Yorkshire and the Humber.
