The largest gold nugget in the country's history found in the UK
In the UK, a treasure hunter has found the largest gold nugget in the country's history. Richard Brock armed himself with metal detectors and came across the precious find just 3.5 hours from his home.
The man managed to find the piece dubbed "Hiro Nugget" in May last year as part of an organized expedition. 24tv.ua reports.
It is noted that Brock went in search with a metal detector that did not work properly. However, this did not prevent the man from finding a precious metal weighing 54 grams, which is considered the largest gold nugget found in the UK.
"Everyone there had modern equipment, and I was going randomly with three old machines, and one of them failed. It just goes to show that it doesn't matter what equipment you use if you're determined and are careful enough to see what might be hiding underground. That makes all the difference," Richard said.
Earlier, TravelWise reported that a new penguin colony was discovered during a cruise past the Antarctic.
