Cheapest booking: services that will help you find a hotel at pleasant prices

If you're keen on exploring new countries and cities without breaking the bank, it's worth investing time in finding the best options for accommodation. BGR analyzed which services could help you select the finest hotels to avoid disappointments and save money.
Developers of RatePunk, a browser extension for comparing hotel prices, conducted a study comparing companies offering the most favorable rates for popular destinations. According to RatePunk CEO Justin Albertinas, the company reviewed over 198,000 user searches between January 1 and December 1, 2023, and identified the top three travel services.
The results revealed that the best prices are offered by Agoda (34%), Priceline (23%), and Booking.com (16%).
Agoda
This service provides travelers with excellent opportunities for tourism in Asia and the Middle East. It is commonly chosen when seeking accommodations in Japan, Thailand, or Korea.
"Agoda... they offer really competitive prices. We've noticed that our users often start searching for accommodation on major sites like Booking.com or Expedia and end up making their purchase on Agoda," said Justin Albertinas in an interview with CNBC Travel.
Booking.com
This platform is particularly popular in Europe. However, it's essential to note that Booking.com offers three different rates: desktop, mobile, and mobile app, which can vary significantly.
"Based on our data, we've observed that 80% of the prices on the mobile website and the mobile app are similar, but there are instances where we can find a lower price on the app," Albertinas explained.
Priceline
Last on the list, but not least in terms of ranking, is Priceline. It is favored by travelers exploring the United States of America. Overall, this service provides prices that are 48.5% lower compared to other platforms.
