Swap places on a plane: a cunning passenger got into trouble due to refusal
As passengers on a flight know, one of the problems on board can arise when your neighbors ask you to change seats because they want to sit next to their companions. At the same time, some passengers prefer to make a scene if they are rejected.
A 45-year-old passenger on one of the flights shared his story about what happened around him after a couple boarded the plane. He was sitting comfortably by the window, while two other passengers, a husband and wife, were seated near the aisle and middle seats, the Mirror writes.
"After getting settled, the woman leaned over to me with a sweet smile and said, 'Could you be nice and change seats with me? I can't fly well in the middle seat,' he says. The man explained that he asked the woman if her husband was the person sitting in the aisle seat next to her, and after she confirmed that it was him, he told her that he did not want to "come between a husband and wife."
Instead, he made an alternative offer, saying that he would not mind switching seats with her husband if they could decide between themselves who should sit in the middle seat. In response, the woman said that her husband never sits in the middle or near the window.
The parties did not come to an agreement on this issue, and the irritated woman turned to her husband in another language, hoping that others would not understand her. "A few minutes later, I heard her shouting at her husband in another language (which I speak fluently): "The fool doesn't change places," the passenger says.
Eventually, the husband told the man by the window that his wife had "diarrhea" and "needed an aisle seat if she had to run." However, he did not even realize that their neighbor understood the insult they had said to him in a foreign language.
Eventually, after the flight was over, on the way out of the plane, the offended man turned to his fellow passengers and wished them a good rest in the language they were speaking to each other, being sure they were not understood. He says it was his sweetest revenge.
