Summer season will be very hot for Tallinn Airport: details
The upcoming summer season will provide travelers with a choice of more than 50 destinations with direct flights from Tallinn Airport.
They will include three new airlines: Eurowings will fly to Prague, Transavia France – to Paris, and flydubai – to Dubai, according to a press release from the airport company, Baltic Times reports.
Six new destinations will also be offered – the aforementioned Prague and Dubai, as well as Burgas, as well as resumed flights to Billund, Malta, and Rome. Flights to Dubai will connect Estonia with the United Arab Emirates for the first time in the country's aviation history.
In addition to these new destinations, almost all of the 17 airlines flying from Tallinn will operate more frequent flights this summer, selling 20 percent more tickets than in 2023 and exceeding the same figure for 2019.
Eero Pargmae, member of the board of AS Tallinna Lennujaam, said the airport is pleased with the summer schedule: "This is an extraordinary year when you can announce that three new airlines will arrive in Tallinn!"
The largest number of additional connections will be offered on the Stockholm route, with both SAS and Ryanair increasing their flights to the Swedish capital to a total of eight per day. It will also be the largest route in the summer season in terms of seats. On the Helsinki route, the number of flights will increase to 10 per day. Otherwise, Air Baltic will fly from Tallinn to 22 destinations, offering good connections for both business and leisure, including new routes to Burgas, Malta, and Billund.
As TravelWise previously reported, Tallinn Airport is lifting restrictions on liquids and electronics in carry-on luggage.
