Strategic Partnership Boosts Military Air Support Services in Saudi Arabia
In a significant move to enhance air and logistical support services, the Ministry of Defense and Saudia Private, a key division of Saudia Group, have entered into a collaborative agreement. This strategic alliance, sealed during the prestigious World Defense Show 2024 in Riyadh, aims to bolster support for various Air Force aircraft, marking a notable advancement in military support capabilities.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of notable figures, including His Excellency Dr. Khaled Al-Biyari, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs, and His Excellency Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group. The pivotal agreement was inked by Ibrahim Al Suwayed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense for Armament and Procurement, and Dr. Fahd Al-Jarbou, CEO of Saudia Private.
This comprehensive agreement is set to provide operational and technical support services for Air Force C130, Boeing 707, and Saab 2000 aircraft, extending its reach beyond the Kingdom's borders. Moreover, it includes specific provisions for the servicing of ten C130 aircraft located at the King Abdullah Air Base in the Western sector, underscoring the commitment to enhancing the operational readiness and efficiency of the Saudi Air Force.
Dr. Fahd Al-Jarbou, expressing his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighted its significance in delivering innovative and high-quality services to the military sector.
